500g mince

1 onion, diced

1 pepper, diced

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 tsp coriander

1 tsp cumin

2 tsp smoked paprika 

2 tsp oregano

2 tsp cocoa powder

4 tsp dried chilli 

ground pepper

250ml beef stock

1 tin chopped tomatoes

200g cooked red kidney beans

200g cooked black turtle beans

juice 1/2 lime

  • Fry off onions and peppers until soft.
  • Fry of beef until browned. 
  • Add all the other ingredients and leave to cook on a low heat for 30 minutes (if using tinned beans, add after 20 minutes).
  • Alternatively pop in a slow cooker for a couple of hours. 
  • Serve with boiled rice and sour cream or for burritos fill tortilla wraps.
