FROM MY WRITING DESK
I am currently writing a novella, which has had some lovely feedback thus far from the readers that signed up last year to receive my scribblings in instalments. Short stories that come together to form a longer narrative, some of the themes are a little gritty - but isn't that what life can be like? I thought it would take me a year to complete but that milestone has passed...it is likely that I will be finished towards the end of the year and I will then spend another few months tightening things up before sending to agents/publishers.
I also love to send handwritten notes, as I find snail mail is one of life's little pleasures. Unfortunately there won't be a series this year as time is tight but I hope to resume them again in the future.
A piece from the 2016 notes series:
"Your letters always come at the right time...just when I need a lift."
"Your note is my travelling companion today on a long train journey. It's already making me smile."
"Reading your postcards from Italy, whisked me right to your picturesque peaceful village."
